A monochromatic light of wavelength lamb...

A monochromatic light of wavelength `lambda` is incident on an isolated metallic sphere of radius `a`. The threshold wavelength is `lambda_(0)` which is larger then `lambda`. Find the number of photoelectrons emitted before the emission of photo electrons stops.

A

The stopping potential will be `(hc)/(e)((1)/(lambda) - (1)/(lambda_(0)))`

B

The + ve charge acquired by the sphere until emission of electrons stopped `(4pi in_(0) a)xx(h)/(e)((1)/(lambda) - (1)/(lambda_(0)))`

C

The number of photoelectrons emitted before the emisson of photoelectrons will stop will be `(4pi in_(0) a)xx(hc)/(e^(2))((1)/(lambda) - (1)/(lambda_(0)))`
