The correct Answer is:
C

Picric acid is `2,4,6-`trinitrophenol.
It forms charge-transfer complexes (known as picrates) with aromatic hydrocarbons, amines and phenols. Their picrates are frequently used to identify these classes of compounds. When treated with bleaching powder, picric acid forms chloropicrin `(C Cl_(3)NO_(2))` as one of the products and forms picyl chloride, when treated with phosphorus penta chloride.

The chlorine atom in picryl chloride is very reactive (owing to the presence of the three nitro-groups in the `p-`and two `o-`positions). For example, when boiled with water, picryl chloride forms picric and when shaken with concentrated ammonia, picramide is formed.
