The correct Answer is:
c

The purpose of the limestrone is to remove the gangue, from the iron ore.At the high temperature of the famonu ,the limestone decomposes yielding line `(CaO)` a basic oxide that reacth with `SiO_(2)` and after acide oxide present in the gangue .The product called called slag is a mohen meterial consisting maintly of calcium silocate
`CaCO_(3)(s) to CaO(s) + CO_(2) (g)`
`underset("Lime")(CaO(s)) + underset("Sand")(SiO_(2)(s)) to underset("Slag")(CaSiO_(3)(g))`
The slag which is less dense than the molten iron , floats on the surface of the iron, thus allowing the iron and slag to the removed from bottom of the farnace through sepacte holes .
