The correct Answer is:
d

An electrolytie cell is consttracted using slabs of impure copper as anodes and this shorts of pure as cathodes , the electrolyte being copper salphate solution aciadified with sulphate solution acidified with sulphutic acid .On passing the current copper in deposited upon the catodeds, Those metals which are more electropositive than copper `(e.g..N,Zu,Cu and Fe)` go into solution as irons and accounties there , provided their concetraction is low copper iron being perterentally dischared .Metals less electroposition then copper `(e.g Au and Ag)` fall from the anode as it dissilved and colled as a slage at the base of the cell in , the removed at intervals for farther refining
`CuSO_(4)(aq) rarr Cu^(2) (aq) + SO_(4)^(2)(aq)`
`Cathode Cu^(2)(aq) + 2e rarr Cu(s)`
`Anode, Ca(s) rarr Cu^(2)(aq) + 2e`
