Volume of a Cylinder

The amount of material that can be filled within a cylinder is represented by the volume of a cylinder. To be more particular, the volume of a cylinder signifies the amount of material that is displaced when a cylinder be immersed in that material or substance ( e.g. water) . Such a measurement is signified by the formula, given as πr2h.

The formula of the volume of the cylinder is πr2h, here ‘r’ is represented as the radius of the circular base, and ‘h’ is denoted as the height of the cylinder. The material that could be immersed in the cylinder can be either liquid or solid. This concept of the cylinder is explained in detailed in the further of this article along with some examples for a better understanding.

A cylinder is a three-dimensional object which has a base in a circular shape. A cylinder-shaped object can be observed as a set of disks in a circular shape and are stacked on one another. Consider a scenario wherein there comes a need for the calculation of the volume of a cylindrical box. In a more direct sense, it means the calculation of the capacity of the box.
