In a compound microscope, the objects is `1cm` form the objective lens. The lenses are `30cm` apart and the intermediate image is `5cm` from the eye-piece. What magnification is produced?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`u_(0) =- 1cm, L = 30 cm, u_(e) =- 5 cm`
For normal adjustment
`f_(e) = |u_(e)| = 5 cm`
`L = v_(0) +f_(e) rArr 30 = v_(0) +5 rArr v_(0) = 25 cm`
`m = (v_(0))/(u_(0))(D)/(f_(e))`
`= (25)/(-1) xx (25)/(5)`
`=- 125`

The focal lengths of the objective and eye-piece of a compound microscope are 1 cm and 5 cm, respectively. An object is placed 11 mm from the objective and the final image is 25 cm from the eye. Find : (a) magnification produced and (b) the separation of the lenses.

In a compound microscope, the focal length of the objective and the eye lens are 2.5 cm and 5 cm respectively. An object is placed at 3.75cm before the objective and image is formed at the least distance of distinct vision, then the distance between two lenses will be ( i.e. length of the microscope tube )

An object is 0.09 m from a magnifying lens and the image is formed 36cm from the lens. The magnification produced is:

The focal lengths of the objective and eye piece of a microscope are 2 cm and 5 cm respectively, and the distance between them is 20 cm . Find the distance of the object from the objective when the final image seen by the eye is 25 cm from the eye piece. What is the magnifying power ?

Draw a ray diagram to show the working of a compound microscope. Deduce an expression for the total magnification the final image is formed at the near point. In a compound microscope , an object is placed at a distance of 1.5 cm from the objective of focal length 1.25cm. if the eye piece has a focal length of 5 cm and the final image is formed at the near point, estimate the magnifying the power of the microscope.

In a compound microscope, the focal lengths of two lenses are 1.5 cm and 6.25 cm an object is placed at 2 cm form objective and the final image is formed at 25 cm from eye lens. The distance between the two lenses is

The focal lengths of the objective and eye piece of a compound microscope are 4 cm and 6 cm respectively. If an object is placed at a distance of 6 cm from the objective, calculate the magnification produced by the microscope. Take distance of distinct vision = 25 cm .

A compound microscope has an objective lens of 1.0 cm focal length and an eye-piece of 2.5 cm of focal length. When the object is placed at 1.1 cm from the objective, the final image is at the least distance of direct vision. Thus, the magnification produced is

The focal length of the objective and the eye piece of a compound microscope are 2.0 cm and 3.0 cm, respectively. The distance between the objective and the eye piece is 15.0 cm. The final image formed by the eye piece is at infinity. The two lenses are thin. The distance in cm of the object and the image produced by the objective, measured from the objective lens, are respectively
