A car starts from rest and moves along the x-axis with constant acceleration `5 ms^(-2)` for `8` seconds. If it then continues with constant velocity, what distance will the car cover in `12` seconds since it started from the rest ?

The velocity after 8 sec `v=0+5xx8=40 m//s`
Distance covered in 8 sec
`s_(0)=0+(1)/(2)xx5xx64=160m`
After 8s the body moves with uniform velocity and distance covered in next 4 s with uniform velocity.
`s=vt=40xx4=160m`
The distance covered in `12s=160+160=320`m
