What is Modulus function and properties?

Modulus Function is defined as the real valued function f:R→R , y = |x| for each x∈R
When it comes to the non-negative value of x, f(x) is equal to x. In case of negative values of x, the value of f(x) is the negative of the value of x

f(x)=|x|={x if x≥0−x if x<0f(x)=|x|={x if x≥0−x if x<0

It is also called the absolute value function
