In figure below if `Z_(1) = Z_(C )` and reading of ammeter is `1A`. Find value of source voltage `V`.

A

80 volt

B

60 volt

C

100 volt

D

None

The correct Answer is:
C

`iZ_(L) - iZ_(C ) = 0`
So, `V_(z_(L)) = V_(z_(c))`
`:. V_(L) = 1 xx 2 pi xx 30 xx (1)/(pi) = 60` volt
`:. V_(R ) = 80 xx 1 = 80` volt
`V = sqrt(V_(L)^(2) + V_(R )^(2)) = sqrt((80)^(2) + (60)^(2)) = 100` volt
