(i). Reduction in uptake of iron and magnesium.
(ii). Inhibition of binding of magnesium to specific enzymes.
(iii). Inhibition of calcium translocation into shoot apex. Therefore, excess of manganese causes deficiency of iron magnesium and calcium.
