Necrosis is the prematrue death of cells in living tissue. It is symptom os a disease. This symptom can occur in any plant tissues such as leaves, petioles, stem, etc. necrosis may appear in small areas and goes up to large areas of plant tissues. The apical necrosis of young leaves extends towards the base along the margins. Necrosis occurs due to deficiency of Ca, Mg, Cu and K.
