Secretions of oxyntic cells includes hydrochloric acid (HCl) and intrinsic factor. HCL has a role in denaturing proteins, activating rennin and provideing optimum pH for pepsin. Intrinsic factor has a role in abosrption of vitamin `B_(12)`. This vitamin is essential for proper maturation of RBCs.
