Identify the following as rational or irrational numbers. Give the decimal representation of rational numbers: `sqrt(9/(27))` (ii) `-sqrt(64)` (iii) `sqrt(100)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

(i)`sqrt(9/(27))`=`(1/ sqrt 3 )` which is irrational.
(ii) `-sqrt(64)`= `8` which is rational and in decimal form it can be written as `8.0`
(iii) `sqrt(100)`=`10` which is rational and can be written in decimal form as `10.0`
