If both `a and b` are rational numbers, find the values of `a and b` in each of the following equalities:Given, `(sqrt(3)-1)/(sqrt(3)+1)xx(sqrt(3)-1)/(sqrt(3)-1)=a+bsqrt3`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given,`(sqrt(3)-1)/(sqrt(3)+1)xx(sqrt(3)-1)/(sqrt(3)-1)`
`=> (sqrt(3)-1)^2/2`
`=>2-sqrt(3)`
`=>2-sqrt(3)=a+b sqrt(3)`
`=>a=2 ,b=-1`
