Ozone is used to purify water `to` ozone kills microbes. Ozone also oxidizes toxins and odours. `O_(3)` is most effective oxidant (secondary to `F_(2)`). It inactivates and oxidizes organic matter, contaminates, pesticides, viruses and bacteria faster than chlorine, `O_(3)` do not form TMH which have unpleasant odour with are also carcinogenic . `O_(3)` is very good biocide. Ozone also absorb UV radiation .
