Vulcanization is a process in which natural rubber is treated with 4-5% sulphur and certain organic compound which accelerated the reaction between the rubber and sulphur. It introduced sulphur bridge between polymer chains thereby increasing its tensile strength, strength , elasticity and resistance to abrasion.
