Alkaline solution of `CuSO_(4)` containing Rochelle salt is called Fehling's solution. It is obtained by addig an alkaline solution of Rochelle salt (sodium potassium tartrate) called Fehling solution 'B' to an aqueous solution of `CuSO_(4)` called Fehling solution 'A' until blue ppt. of `Cu(OH)_(2)` first formed redissolve to form a deep blue solution.
