Distinguish between the terms homopolymer and copolymer and give an example of each.

The repeating structural unit of a homopolymer is derived from only one type of monomer unit while that of a copolymer is derived from two or more types of monomer units . For example , polythene , is a homopolymer while nylon 6,6 is a copolymer.

Similarly n nylon -6 is a homopolymer while nylon 6,6 is a copolymer.
