the hydrolytic enzymes Released from the acrosome of sperm , when the sperm head binds to zona pellucida of secondary oocyte,, are collectively termed as sperm lysins . Three main sperm lysins are -
(i) Hyaluronidase that hydrolyes hyaluronic acid of the follicular cells .
(ii) Corona pentrating enzyme. It dissolves corona radiata portion around the secondary oocyte by hydrolysing their ground substances .
(iii) Zona Lysin .It Helps to digest zona pellucida .
