What is 'Colostrum '? Name its important constituents .what happens to those infants who are not breast fed after birth ?

Colostrum also termed foremilk , is a thin , yellowish ,opalescent fluid released from the breast after birth for 2 or 3 days .
It contains cells from the alvoli and is rich in lactabumin and lactoprotein , but low in fat . If infants are not breast fed after birth , the antibodies will not be transfersed via colostrum to the baby to combat infection .
