(a) The point on the retina from where the optic nerve starts is called the blind spot.
No. image is formed on it because it lacks the receptors cells and is insensitive to light.
(b)Away from the forvea centralis of yellow spot, the rod and cone cells occur is equal numbers, and at the peripheryof the retina, the rods are more numerous than the cones. This is why we see better in dimlight by looking out of the eye.
