(a) Aerolar connective tissue. It consists of matrix, numerous fibres (white fibres, yellow fibres and reticular fibres ) and cells.
(b) (i) Fibroblasts - They secrete matrix of areolar tissue.
(ii) Macrophages - They engult microbes, foreign particles and damaged cells.
(iii) Mast cells - They produce heparin and histamine.
