Three cubes each of side 5 cm are joined end to end. Find the surface area of the resulting cuboid.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

If we join these three cubes, then the length of the resulting cuboid will be `5+5+5 = 15cm`.
Breadth and height will be `5cm`.
`:.` Surface area of the cuboid will be,
`S = 2(lb+bh+hl) = 2(15*5+5*5+5*15) = 2(175) = 350cm^2.`
