Mark the incorrect statement in context to `O_(2)` binding to Hb

A

Higher `pH`

B

Lower temperature

C

Lower `PCO_(2)`

D

Higher `PO_(2)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

(None of the options is correct) : Oxygen dissociation curve is highly useful in studying the effect of factors like `pcO_(2)`, `H^(+)` concentration, etc., on binding `O_(2)` with haemoglobin in the alveoli, where there is high `pO_(2)`, low `pCO_(2)`, high pH and lower temperature, the factors are all favourble for the formation of oxyhaemoglobin.
