Assertion: Stimulation of renin secretion will increase the volume of the extracellular fluid (ECF).
Reason: The increased ECF occurs due to decreased active reabsorption of `Na^(+)`

The correct Answer is:
C

Renin is a proteolytic enzyme, secreted into the blood by juxtaglomerular cells of the only known physiological effect of renin is to cause the formation of angiotensis II from its plasma substrate, angiotensinogen. Angiotensin II, stimulates the release of aldosterone from theh zona glomerulosa of the adrenal cortex. Aldostrerone promotes reabsorption of `Na^(+)` ions by epithelial cells of the collecting duct. retaining `Na^(+)` raises the osmotic pressure of blood and reduces water loss from the body. Hence causing an increase in extracellular fluid (ECF) volume

Assertion: Failure of secretion of hormone vasopressin causes diabetes mellitus in the patient. Reason: Vasopressin increases the volume of urine by increasing the reabsorption of water from the urine.

Assertion : Solubility of alcohols in water decreases with the increase in the molecular mass. Reason : The increase in the size of the alkyl group increases the polar nature of O-H group.

Assertion :- In case of chemical adsorption, (x)/(m) first increase then decrease with temp. Reason :- The intial increase is due to the fact that heat supplied acts as a activation energy. The decrease afterwards is due to the exothermic nature of adsorption at equilibrium.

Assertion: The melting point of solid (except ice) increases with increase in pressure. Reason: An increasion in pressure favours the change where volume decreases.

Assertion : Surface tensian decreases with increase in temperature. Reason : On increasing temperature kinetio energy increases and intermolecular forces decreases.

Assertion: A catalyst increases the rate of a reaction. Reason: In presence of a catalyst, the activation energy of the reaction decreases.

Assertion: The conductivity of electrolytic soutions increase with increase of temperture. Reason: Electronic conductance decrease with increase of temperture.

Assertion : The failure of secretion of hormone vasopressin causes diabetes mellitus in the patient. Reason : Vasopression reduces the volume of urine by increasing the reabsorbtion of water from the urine.
