A sphere of diameter 6cm is dropped in a right circular cylindrical vessel partly filled with water. The diameter of the cylindrical vessel is 12cm. If the sphere is completely submerged in water, by how much will the level of water rise in the cylindrical vessel?

Given, diameter of speher `= 6 cm`
radius of sphere,`r=6/2=3cm`
Diameter of cylindrical vessel `= 12 cm`
radius of cylindrical vessel `=> r=12/2=6cm`
volume of sphere `=4/3xxpi xxr^3`
`=4/3xxpixx3^3`
Volume of cylindrical vessel` =pixxr^2xxh=pixx6^2xxh`
Here, the volume of sphere =volume increased in the cylindrical vessel
`4/3xxpixx3^3=pixx6^2xxh`
`h=4/3xx3/6=(4xx3xx3)/(6xx6)=1cm`
1 cm level of water rise in the cylindrical vessel`x`
