The magnetic flux passing prependicular ...

The magnetic flux passing prependicular to the plane of the coil directed into the paper is varying according to the relation
`phi=6t^(2)+8t+I0` , where `phi` is in weber and `t` in second.
(a) What is the magnitude of emf induced in the loop when `t=2sec` ?
(b) What is the magnitude and direction of current at `t=2sec` ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

(a) `phi=6t^(2)+8t+I0`
`|e|=(dphi)/(dt)=I2t+8`
At `t=2sec` , `|e|=I2xx2+8=32V`
(b) Induced current `I=(e)/(R)=(32)/(8)=4A`
Since flux is increasing, induced bcurrent will be anticlock-wise.
