Mass of `Hg = 30mg`
Mass of water `=500//1 = 500g = 50 xx 10^(4)mg`
`("As mass" = "Volume"//"density, density of water" 1g//ml)`
Therefore, ppm of mercury `= (30 xx 10^(6))/(50 xx 10^(4)) = 60` ppm of mercury .
