Find the sum of the deviations of the variate values 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 14 from their mean.

Number of terms `(n)=5`
Mean`=(sumx_i)/n`
Mean`=(3+4+6+8+14)/5`
Mean`=35/5=7`
Thus deviations of the variate values from their mean:
`3-7=-4`
`4-7=-3`
`6-7=-1`
`8-7=1`
`14-7=7`
Sum of deviations of the variate values:
`=-4-3-1+1+7`
`=0`
Hence, the sum of the deviations of the variate values is `0`.
