The record of a weather station shows that out of the past 250 consecutive days, its weather forecast were correct 175 times. What is the probability that on a given day (i) it was correct? (ii) it was not correct?

Total number of days for which record is made=`250`
(i)P(weather forecast was correct=`"No. of days when the forecast was correct"/"Total number of days for which record is made"`
`=175/250=0.7`
(ii)P(weather forecast was incorrect=`"No. of days when the forecast was incorrect"/"Total number of days for which record is made"`
`=(250-175)/250=75/250=0.3`
