Fringes are obtained with the help of a biprism in the focal plane of an eyepiece distant 1 m from the slits. A convex lens produces images of the lit in two position between biprism and eyepiece. The distances between two images of the slit in two position are `4.05xx10^(-3)m` and `2.9xx10^(-3)m` respectively. Calculate the distance between the slits.

Interference fringers are produced by a Fresnel's biprism in the focal plane of reading microscope which is 100 cm from the slit. A lens interposed between the biprism and the microscope gives two images of the slit in two positions. If the images of the slits are 4.05 mm apart in one case, 2.90 mmin the other and the wavelength of light used is 5893 Å, find the distance between two consecutive bands.

In the biprism experiment, if the images produced by the convex lens in the two positions between the biprism annd the eye piece are 4.5 mm and 2 mm apart, then the distance (d) between the two virtual sources is

In a biprism experimentn the distance between slite and epepiece is 1m. If the convex lens is interposed at a distance of 30 cm from the slit, then the size of the magnified image is 0.7 mm. The distance between the two virtual images of the slits will be
