An alloy is homogeneous mixture of two or more metals or metals and non-metals. An important alloy containing lanthanoids metals is mischmetal which contain `95%` lanthanoid metal an `5%` iron alogwith traces of `S,C,Ca` and `Al` . It is used in `Mg`-based alooy to produced bullets, shells and lighter fints.
