If z= 4+ 7i be a complex number, then ...

If z= 4+ 7i be a complex number, then find
(i) Additive inverser of z.
(ii) Multiplicative inverse of z.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

(i) Additive inverse pf ( 4 + 7 i) = ( -4 -7)
(ii) Multiplicative inverse of ( 4+ 7i) = `1/(4 + 7i) = 1/(4 + 7i) . ( 4-7i)/(4- 7i)`
` (( 4-7i))/((4)^(2)-(7i)^(2))= ( 4-7i)/65 = 4/65 - 7/65 i`
