The correct Answer is:
A

Given `f(x^(2) - 4x + 4) = x^(2) + 1`
To find f(1) we put `x^(2) - 4x + 4 = 1, x^(2) - 4x + 3 = 0, x = 1, 3`
For x = 1, f(1) = 2
x = 3, f(1) = 10
`because f(1) lt 8`
`:. f(1) = 2`
