When the floral parts of each whorl of a flower are similar in size and shape, the flower is called regular flower, e.g., chna rose (Hibiscus rosa-sinesis), datura (datura metel) when any of the floral parts of any whorl of a flower is dissimilar in size and shape, the flower is called irregular flower, e.g., pea (pisum sativum), clitoria ternatea.
