If A and B are two sets such that `n(AuuB)=50 ,\ n(A)=20\ a n d\ n(B)=32 ,\ fin d\ n(AnnB)dot`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

As we know:

`n(A cup B)=n(A)+n(B)-n(A cap B)`

Hence ` n(A cap B) &=n(A)+n(B)-n(A cup B) &=28+32-50 `

(`because` we have given `n(A)=28, n(B)=32` and `n(A cup B)=50` Hence `n(A cap B)=10`
