Choose the correct answer: 1. If A, B and C are three sets and U is the universal 6 set such that n(U) = 700, n(A) = 200, n(B) = 300 and` n(A n B) `= 100. Find `n(A' nn B')`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given that,` n(U) = 700, n(A) = 200, n(B) = 300 and n(A ∩ B) = 100`
We know that, `n(A uuB) = n(A) + n(B) - n(A ∩ B) `
`= 200 + 300 - 100 = 400 ` Now, `n(A' nnB′) = n(U) - n(A ∪ B)`
`=700 - 400 = 300`
