Let `f\ ` be a relation on the set `NN` of natural numbers defined by `f={(n ,3n): n in NN}` is `f` a function from `NN\ to\ NN` . If so, find the range of `f` .

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Since for each n in N,there exists a unique 3n in N such that `(n,3n) in f.`
∴f is a function from N to N
Clearly,Range of `f={f(n):n in N}={3n:n in N}`
