Let the series whose r^th term is `r+2^r.`as
`(1+2^1)+(2+2^2)+(3+2^3)+(4+2^4)+........(n+2^n)`
Therefore we have
`S_n=(1+2^1)+(2+2^2)+(3+2^3)+(4+2^4)+........(n+2^n)`
`S_n=(1+2+3+4+.......+n)+(2+2^2+2^3+2^4+........+2^n)`
`S_n=((n(n+1))/2)+2((2^n-1)/(2-1))`
`S_n=((n(n+1))/2)+2^(n+1)-2`
