Find the slopes of the lines which make ...

Find the slopes of the lines which make the following angles with the positive direction of x-axis: `(3pi)/4` ii. `pi/3`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

(iii) Angle made with positive `x `axis is `frac{3 pi}{4}`
Therefore, `m=tan theta=tan (frac{3 pi}{4})=tan (pi-frac{pi}{4})=-1`
(iv) Angle made with positive `x` axis is `frac{pi}{3}`
Therefore, `m=tan theta=tan (frac{pi}{3})=sqrt{3}`
