Find the coordinates of the point of int...

Find the coordinates of the point of intersection of the lies `2x-y+3=0\ a n d\ x+2y-4=0.`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`2x-y+3=0 ldots`(i)
` x+2y-4=0ldots`(ii)
From (ii), `x=4-2y`
Putting the value of `x` from (ii) in (i), we get
`2(4-2y)-y+3=0`
`implies 8-4y-y+3=0`
`implies y=11/5`
`therefore x=4-2times 11/5`
