If `A\ a n d\ B` are two independent events such that `P(AnnB)=1/6` a n d\`P(A^'nnB^')=1/3` , then write the values of `P(A)a n d\ P(B)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

given,
`P(AnnB)=1/6`
`P(A^'nnB^')=1/3`
So,`1-P(A uu B)=1/3`
`=>P(AuuB)=2/3`
Again,
`P(AuuB)=P(A)+P(B)-P(AnnB)`
`=>2/3=P(A)+P(B)-1/6`
