If `A=[(2, 3),(-1 ,0)]` , show that `A^2-2A+3I_2=O` .

`A=[(2, 3),(-1 ,0)]`
`A^2=A*A`
`=[(2, 3),(-1 ,0)][(2, 3),(-1 ,0)]`
`=[(4-3, 6+0),(-2+0 ,-3+0)]`
`=[(1, 6),(-2 ,-3)]`
we know that `I=[(1,0),(0,1)]`
now,
`A^2-2A+3I_2`
`=[(1, 6),(-2 ,-3)]-2[(2, 3),(-1 ,0)]+3[(1,0),(0,1)]`
`=[(1, 6),(-2 ,-3)]-[(4, 6),(-2 ,0)]+[(3,0),(0,3)]`
`=[(0,0),(0,0)]`
Hence
`A^2-2A+3I_2=0`
