If `[[x,1]][(1 ,0),(-2, 0)]=O` , find `x`

Given that,
`[[x,1]][(1 ,0),(-2, 0)]=O`
`[[x times 1 +1 times (-2), x times 0+ 1 times 0]]=[[0,0]]`
`[[x -2, 0]]=[[0,0]]`

Equating both sides,
`x-2=0`
`x=2`
