Differentiate `x^2\ e^x` from first principal:

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

We have given: `x^2\ e^x`
Let `y=f(x)=x^2 e^x`br> Now differentiating w.r.to `x` by using first principle we get
`implies f(x+h)=(x+h)^2e^(x+h)`
Hence,
`d/(dx)(f(x))=lim_(h->0)(f(x+h)-f(x))/h`
`d/(dx)(f(x))=lim_(h->0)((x+h)^2e^(x+h)-x^2e^x)/h`
`d/(dx)(x^2\ e^x)=lim_(h->0((x^2e^(x+h)-x^2e^x)/h+(2xhe^(x+h))/h+(h^2e^(x+h))/h)`
