Given that `A\ a n d\ B` are two events such that `P :(a)=0. 6 ,\ P(B)=0. 3\ a n d\ P(AnnB)=0. 2 ,\ ` find `P(A/B)a n d\ P(B//A)dot`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`P(A)=0.7 P(B)=0.75 `
`P(overline{A} cap overline{B})=0.2 `
`P(overline{A cup B})=0.2 `
`P(A cup B)=0.8=P(A)+P(B)-P(A cap B) `
`P(A cap B)=0.7+0.75-0.8=0.65 `
`therefore P(frac{A}{B})=frac{0.65}{0.75}=frac{13}{15}`
