If P(A)=0. 3 ,\ P(B)=0. 6 ,\ P(B//A)=0. ...

If `P(A)=0. 3 ,\ P(B)=0. 6 ,\ P(B//A)=0. 5 ,` find `P(AuuB)` .

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given,`P(A)=0.3 ,\ P(B)=0.6 ,\ P(B//A)=0.5`

To find `P(AuuB)`

`P(B//A)=(P(AnnB))/(P(A))=(10P(AnnB))/(3)=0.5`

`P(AnnB)=15/100`

`P(AuuB)=P(A)+P(B)-P(AnnB)`

`P(AuuB)=0.3+0.6-0.15`

`P(AuuB)=0.9-0.15`

`P(AuuB)=0.75`
