Four cards are drawn at a time from a pack of `52` playing cards. Find the probability of getting all the four cards of the same suit.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Choosing `4` cards from `52` playing cards = 52_(C_4)

`A=` all spades cards `(13)`

`B=` all club cards `(13)`

`C=` all diamond cards `(13)`

`D=` all hearts cards `(13)`

These are mutually exclusive events, so

`P(A)=(13_(C_4))/(52_(C_4))`

`P(B)=(13_(C_4))/(52_(C_4))`
