Find the binomial distribution for which the mean is 4 and variance 3.

Let `X` be a binomial variate with parameters being `n` and `p`.
Then, mean` = 4` and Variance` = 3`
`np = 4` and `npq=3`
`(npq)/(np) = 3/4`
`q=3/4`
`therefore, p=1 – q = 1 – 3/4 = 1/4`
Putting `p=1/4` in `np=4`, we get, `n=16`.
