A rectangular cardboard ABCD has dimensions of `40 cm ×x 30 cm`. It is moving in a direction perpendicular to its shorter side at a constant speed of `2 cm//s`. A small insect starts at corner A and moves to diagonally opposite corner C. On reaching C it immediately turns back and moves to A. Throughout the motion the insect maintains a constant speed relative to the board. It takes 10 s for the insect to reach C starting from A. Find displacement and distance travelled by the insect in reference frame attached to the ground in the interval the insect starts from A and comes back to A.
